WEST UNION -- Deputies with the Doddridge County Sheriff's Department are continuing to investigate Wednesday's fatal accident on Rt. 50.

Philip Eakle, 20, was driving the vehicle that crashed near Wiseman Run Road at about 2:30 p.m. that day, said Deputy K. Miller.

Eakle's juvenile female passenger died, according to Miller.

An obituary in The Exponent-Telegram lists the 3-year-old as Becca Kay Bennett, but Miller says it is the policy of the sheriff's department not to release names of juveniles.

Eakle was not releated to the girl, according to Miller.

Eakle lost control of the car, crossed into the median and flipped over, Miller stated previously.

The accident is still under investigation, and Miller is unsure if Eakle will face charges.
