SALEM -- Two vehicles were involved in an accident Friday morning in Harrison County on Route 50.
The accident happened just after 8:30 a.m. at the intersection with Route 23.
A Pontiac Grand Am was heading east on Route 50 when an Isuzu Rodeo pulled out of Route 23 and hit the Grand Am, witnesses said.
The driver of the Grand Am, Russell Blankenship, sustained minor head injuries.
He says something needs to be done about the lack of on ramps onto Route 50.
"There's really no safe way to get onto 50, I mean there's a high speed of traffic and almost every exit coming onto 50 is just a side street. Me and the lady that was involved in this accident, we're lucky we walked away," said Blankenship.
Both drivers declined to go to the hospital.
The Salem Volunteer Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident.
The state police is investigating.
