ELKINS -- A national newspaper on colleges and universities has a cover story on Davis and Elkins College in this week's issue.
The story in the Chronicle of Higher Education is called "Turnaround President Makes the Most of His College's Small Size."
President Buck Smith says the article describes how D&E is managing in these tough economic times. He says despite the economy, this year's entering class enrollment was up 50 percent.
Smith says he's proud his college is featured in the magazine.
"We're glad that what we're doing is noteworthy enough that they felt it was important to the rest of higher education to make them aware of what we're doing," says Smith.
Smith says D&E recently increased its internet bandwidth seven-fold and the campus is now wireless.
