The ticket was purchased in West Milford.

CHARLESTON -- A Harrison County man has won $40,000 in the Nov. 18 Powerball drawing.

Joe Nutter, 73, of Lost Creek, initially thought he had only won $10,000.

“Then it dawned on me that the dollar I spent for the PowerPlay option quadrupled it to $40,000, and wasn’t quite so calm,” Nutter said.

The winning numbers were 32-42-50-58-59 PB: 31.

Nutter, a retired funeral director, bought the ticket at the B&S One Stop in West Milford.

Plans for his winnings include paying bills and putting the rest in the bank, Nutter said.

The most he has ever won in the past is $100, he said.
