LOST CREEK -- Lost Creek Elementary school has dedicated its new playground.
The Harrison County Board of Education joined local civic and business leaders at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 17.
Students from the elementary school were also in attendance.
Organizers say it will benefit them in more ways than one.
"This is great because it instills good values as far as health and welfare, doing some exercise everyday, and coming out and play some. It's going to benefit kids here but the generations to come," said LCES playground Committee Chairman Jim Smith.
The project cost an estimated $30,000, organizers said.
The Harrison County Commission, the Nutter Foundation, the Lost Creek Lions Club, Thrasher Engineering, the Lost Creek PTA, Jack Smith, and various parents all helped to fund the project.
Wal-Mart also donated $1,000.
