The college will also off veterans free lunches.

ELKINS -- Davis & Elkins College had a special ceremony Tuesday for its student veterans.

The school dedicated the Pullman Room in the Halliehurst Mansion as the "Veterans Lounge".

The lounge is a place where student veterans can hang out.

Around 35 veterans among students, staff and faculty call Davis & Elkins home.

Dedicating the Veterans Lounge is a small way to say thank you to the men and women who have served and are serving our country, according to D&E's president. The school will issue student veterans new IDs, that will allow them to receive free lunches in the cafeteria.
