BRIDGEPORT -- Shoppers looked for early holiday gift ideas and also helped local charities Sunday in Bridgeport.

It was a magical night at the Meadowbrook Mall on the fifth annual Magical Night of Giving. Store owners stayed open late and offered special discounts. Shoppers were also able to enter into raffles with all proceeds going to local charities.

Organizers say, even with the state of the economy, people are still giving.

The grand prize was a $5,000 check from Dan Cava Toyota World.
