Huntington -- Meanwhile, the *Huntington* Police Department today welcomed a new group of volunteers. Six people were sworn in as Reserve Police Officers, including our own Dee DeLancey.
Reserve officers perform various duties for the department, including funeral escorts or parade duty.
Each person can work up to twenty hours per month, on duties that allow regular police officers to do their jobs.
The Reserve officers will now go through some training before going to work.
