Nine OVAC schools have advanced to the OHSAA post-season.

The official pairings come out Sunday afternoon.

Big Red, Monroe Central, Harrison Central, Buckeye Local, Caldwell, Martins Ferry, Rosecrans, Shadyside, and Bridgeport.

The Bulldogs will host a game at Perkins Field for the first time school history.

Union Local narrowly missed out, and finished in ninth place in Division IV Region 13. The top eight qualify. Indian Creek also finished ninth, but in Division III Region 11.

On Friday, Division III Region 11's No.1 team Big Red, will host Marlington at Harding Stadium. No.7 Harrison Central visits No.2 Dover. 7-3 Canal Fulton NW makes the trip to No.3 Buckeye Local.

Also on Friday, in Division V Region 19, Monroe Central finished as the fourth seed and will host No.5 Wheelersburg. The game will most likely not be played in Woodsfield due to poor playing conditions.

Caldwell is No.8, the Redskins travel to No.1 Fredricktown.

On Saturday, Bridgeport will play host to Tusky Central. The Dogs finished the season at 9-1 and outscored their last four opponents 146-7. This will be the first home playoff game in Bridgeport school history which stretches back over 100 years.

Martins Ferrry finished an 8-2 season and will host Woodbridge at Purple Rider Stadium on Saturday.

Shadyside is perhaps the biggest surprise to the post-season party. At 5-5, the Tigers finished seventh in Division VI Region 23 and earned a trip to No.2 Columbiana.

Zanesville Rosecrans finished as the third seed in D6, R23 and will host Grove City Christian.
