MORGANTOWN -- You can shop for a cause at local Spirit Halloween stores.
The stores are donating proceeds to West Virginia University Children's Hospital.
The company's "Spirit of Children" fund donates to local hospitals every year.
It has already surpassed $1 million nationwide.
The stores at the Meadowbrook Mall, in Bridgeport, and the Morgantown Mall, in Westover, are selling trick or treat bags and donation pumpkins, to benefit the Child Life program at WVU.
"Its for entertainment for the children. It gives them a feeling of Halloween, they get to participate. It buys coloring books, movies, games, things like that that they use all year long," said Joann DeEmilia with the Spirit
Children's hospital canceled its annual Fall Fest this year, due to the new H1N1 visitation restrictions.
