CLARKSBURG -- The United Way of Harrison County has reached the mid point of its 2010 campaign and says the cup is half full.
The mid-campaign luncheon was held at the village square in Clarksburg, Wednesday afternoon.
The big announcement came when Campaign Chairman Tom Gorrell said more than half of the $800,000 goal has already been met.
"The agencies that the United Way helps support go from helping kids organizations to helping senior citizens organizations and everywhere in between. So the United Way is very important when it comes to helping these 23 agencies with their budgets and make sure they can take care of the people in our community," said 2010 Campaign Chairman Tom Gorrell.
Representatives from the 23 United Way agencies along with board members and cabinet members attended the luncheon.
