MORGANTOWN -- Mimicking West Virginia University Engineering School's annual Pumpkin Drop, five groups of nursery school students tried to protect their pumpkins before their fall, Monday.
The decorated pumpkins were dropped from about a 40 foot height, provided by the Morgantown Fire Department's ladder truck.
The groups did their job a little too well. After none broke, the pumpkins were sent back, unprotected, for another fall.
The official WVU pumpkin drop is set for Friday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m.
