MORGANTOWN -- Students at West Virginia University are showing their support for the University of Connecticut football team, after one if its players was stabbed to death last weekend.

The Mountaineer Maniacs student organization will give a banner to the visiting team Saturday.

It reads: "Today we are all Huskies ...#6 Jasper Howard ...in loving memory from the students of West Virginia University."

A constant stream of students signed the banner Friday.

Many messages read simply "Rest in Peace."

"A lot of people here can relate. It's really hard. There's not too many words you can put in place. It's the loss of a loved one," said WVU student Michael Salko.

The banner will hang in the visiting team's entry tunnel on Saturday's game.
