MORGANTOWN -- Early voting numbers are in for a special election this weekend. The Monongalia County Clerk's office says about 150 voters have cast their ballots already.

Residents in the Cheat Lake and Cheat Neck areas are voting on a zoning proposal there. Some last minute changes are still underway though, with new addresses of affected homes approved by County Commission during their weekly meeting Wednesday.

"We will make sure that any voter who feels that they are within the Cheat Lake planning district, or the Cheat Neck planning district on Saturday will be able to cast a ballot," says County Clerk Carye Blaney, "either by regular ballot or provisional ballot but we will make sure that everybody gets an opportunity to vote."

Polling locations will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3.
