SALEM -- The town of Salem was full of talent Sunday afternoon.

Amateurs were invited to show their talents during the Salem Apple Butter Festival's talent contest.

Four divisions ranging from beginners to adults were judged for showmanship, uniqueness, in addition to talent.

Twenty-three contestants in all participated.

Winners in each division of the preliminary contest will compete next week during the Salem Apple Butter Festival.

The festival officially kicks off on October 1 in downtown Salem.
