There's no word on when the work will be finished.

BRIDGEPORT -- The rest areas on Interstate 79 in Harrison County have closed.

They shut down Monday.

The Bridgeport rest area will be undergoing some renovations.

The rest area will reopen when the work is finished.

Right now, there is no word on when that will be.

Renovations are also going on at the rest areas in Burnsville and at the Pennsylvania border.

Another brilliant move by Uncle Joe and his Dimwits in Charleston. Not only do we not have a place to stop by the side of the road and pee, we don’t have a clue as to when it will reopen. Nice going! Only in WV would they close all of the rest stops at once and not have a clue when they will reopen. It’s probably a ploy for Troopers to be able to write more tickets for indecent exposure when we are forced to stop and pee over the guardrail.

Another great planning effort for the DOH. We shouldn't be surprised if we consider they also most likely planned the Gateway interchange in Fairmont that started over 5 years ago.

what happened to, we won't close all the rest areas at the same time? I guess that person doesn"t work there anymore. Maybe they didn't think someone might need a safe place for a 20 minute nap, so they don't fall asleep or drift into those gulitine wires separating the north and southbound lanes. Maybe they haven't seen what they do to a car or a person, Hope they sleep well ha,ha

One year ago in the Charleston paper, a represetative stated that they would not close all the rest stops at the same time and that the Meadowbrook one would not close until the Morgantown area one was finished. There are now NO reststops open for WV between Clarkburg and Wheeling.
