FLEMMINGTON  --  Bonnie's Bus made a stop in Taylor County Monday.

The bus is a mobile mammography unit and a program from West Virginia University's Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center

The bus made its first stop in April and since then has made about six other stops around the state.

Monday it was at the Tygart Valley Total Care Clinic in Flemington.

Officials say the mobile unit provides women with easy access to digital mammogram screenings.

"A lot of these ladies have to take an entire day off to go to the hospital or to the clinic to get a mammography done. They say it can take hours to travel and then of course the wait time. This is so easy, we just pull up in the parking lot," said Amy Mayhugh coordinator for Bonnie's Bus.

The bus will be in Mingo County on Thursday.
