"It's just a place for runners to come if you're beginning, great, you can get assessed and see what you need."

"If you've been doing it for a while, you've got a closer place to come and get your shoes and a place in the community to be," says Erin Roush.

They say they'll be able to offer help and advice for people on all levels.

Erin is a recent beginner, trying her stride at local races but also has experience in athletic training.

Kevin, on the other hand, has been running for about 10 years and was recruited to run at the collegiate level.

"We have people here that will be able to assess bio mechanically what type of shoe would be best for you," says Erin Roush.

Kevin says that's all you really need for the sport: the perfect pair of shoes, "People can get in the proper shoe, stay injury free and have a nice long running career."

Morgantown Running is located on Holland Avenue in Westover.

The specialty running store will offer products that just aren't available in North Central West Virginia.

Running strollers for moms and dads, gels, fuel belts, body glide and more top of the line items will be for sale.

"As our slogan says, For Runners by Runners, we try to only get in what we feel is good for runners and things we can endorse ourselves," says Kevin Roush.

Morgantown Running will hold its grand opening Saturday August 15th.

They will be giving away two pairs of shoes along with other prizes.
