JACKSON'S MILL -- The West Virginia State Fire Academy is hosting its Junior Firefighter Camp at Jackson's Mill this week.
84 kids are participating in the camp, that helps train them for firefighting and emergency situations. They practice putting out controlled fires, using hoses and ladders, and they learn CPR and First Aid. Camp directors say they hope the training will encourage the campers to pursue careers in firefighting.
Graduation for the students will be at 1:00pm at Jackson's Mill.
