The two boys got lost while floating down Shavers Fork.

ELKINS -- A search team was busy Tuesday afternoon, looking for two missing 10-year-old boys in Randolph County.

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources say they were last seen around 12:30 p.m. floating on blue rafts on the Shavers Fork, at Stuart Park in Randolph County.

The boys were able to get out of the water safely and made their way to a house, where they called their father.

DNR officers, the Elkins Fire Department, state police and a volunteer airplane searched for the boys.

I agree with "a parent", what on earth were 10 YEAR OLDS doing ALONE anywhere, but especially on rafts in a river??? Jim is right, children have never really been safe, they are too defenseless against certain perverted, crazy "adults". It is a parents obligation (hopefully done out of love) to protect and watch out for their children. Maybe these boys snuck out and the parent(s) didn't know. Parents, please try to keep your kids safe.

Child abduction and abuse has been around a long time. History did not begin in the 1980's.

this is just another example of parents not knowing where their children are and what they are doing. how many children have to get killed, lost, or kidnapped before parents get a grip on reality its not like it was 20 years ago when you could trust your kids to walk 2 miles to the store for candy now days there are crazy people out there that would do anything to young kids so come on parents lets face it we need to pay attention to our kids and dont trust that they will always be safe if your not watching them because its not always true.
