The victim lost control of her car on Route 19 South Wednesday morning.

WESTON -- The Lewis County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal accident from Wednesday morning.
It happened just before 6:00 a.m. on Route 19 South, approximately a quarter mile south of Sammy Run Road, Deputy J.S. Holcomb said.
The victim, 51, from Walkersville, was operating a small Buick SUV when she swerved to miss a deer and ran off of the roadway, flipping her car several times before coming to a stop, the press release said.
The woman did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.
Her name will not be released by request of her family.
