PHILIPPI -- Various departments from West Virginia University are assisting communities around North Central West Virginia in an effort to make their cities more appealing.
Saturday they met with members of the community in Philippi to present ideas and suggestions on how their community can grow.
The community design visit allows the team to visit and tour various cities and present a full presentation on quick fixes and long terms goals wanted by that community.
Organizers say it's a win win situation.
"So it ends up being one big community design project and not just professionals, but the local experts and others interested in forwarding their community." said community design coordinator Jenny Selin.
The full report will be made to the Philippi community in two months and a follow up visit will happen in six months.
