John Bennett will take over for Ed Toman.
GLENVILLE -- The Gilmer County School system has a new superintendent.
John D. Bennett, who is currently the director of the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center and mayor of Glenville, will succeed former Superintendent Ed Toman.
Bennett says he is excited about the opportunity and hopes to work on the structural issues in the county's elementary schools.
Bennett says he will finish his term as mayor on June 30.
He will take over as superintendent on July 1.
