GRANVILLE -- Consol Energy is racing to fill the shelves of the Mountaineer Food Bank.

Consol employees were at the University Town Center Wal-mart Sunday, collecting food and monetary donations for the Mountaineer Food Bank.

Consol brought along their Daytona sports car and driver for the public to check out.

Consol Energy will make a $2,500 donation to the food bank and match Sunday's donations, dollar for dollar, up to an additional $2,500.

Organizers say they want to make sure the basic needs in the community are met.

The Mountaineer Food bank supplies food to those in need in 48 counties in West Virginia.
