BLACKSVILLE -- Cancer screenings hit the road on Wednesday as part of the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center's week-long celebrations.
Bonnie's Bus rolled into Blacksville in Monongalia County.
The 40-foot bus offers the most advanced digital mammography, complete with an exam room, waiting room and digital screening center.
The goal is to bring screenings to residents living in rural parts of West Virginia.
On Wednesday nearly 20 patients boarded the bus to take advantage of its state-of-the-art services.
"I think it's great for this part of the county," said Margaret Campbell, one of the patients.
Barbara Wagner, another patient agrees.
"I think it's wonderful," she said. "It's so nice of them to bring it out here for us so we don't have to make the long drive to Morgantown."
Organizers say the next stop for the bus will be Gilmer County in June and then Taylor County in July.
