MORGANTOWN  -- Responding to a panic alarm at a local hot spot, State Police in Morgantown find the clerk tied up and two suspects hiding inside.

When the arrived the store appeared to be closed, but they saw movement inside.

Troopers entered the building and discovered the clerk under the counter bound at the wrists and two men hiding in the bathroom.

Those men have been identified as 24-year-old Justin Whetzel, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia and 31-year-old Jason Benfield of Morgantown.

Both are charged with second-degree robbery and are being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a 100-thousand-dollar cash bond.

I understand one of them was let out on bond-SHAME on the one who who posted the bond. Do you not have a lick of sense or morals? Its not like there is doubt these thugs were caught red handed! How could you do that to our society, our town! To return the favor maybe he will rob your place, tie you up-bet you would have a different tone then! When someone robs you or physically harms you remember you helped put those kind of people back on the street. You should be praying that he doesnt skip town cause there goes everything you own that would be like robbing you-Oh but that would also be like justice-dont cry when that happens! Lord i hope he isnt allowed around family,if he has children I hate to see what he does to them cause if he can do something like this to a total stranger what goes on at home? As it was stated these " thugs" should not be roaming the street at any cost! I bet his mother is so PROUD!

I agree with Tina and concerned! These two are thugs and need to be put in jail for along time. That poor girl and why weren't they charged for what they did to that girl. May God be with her. I hope our justice system proves that there is justice and not give them a slap on the wrist. If the judge does not give a long jail sentence he is saying its ok to rob and take the money from hard working people. Shame on them!

With todays economics nodoubt these guys are going to say they were doing it for their family ,out of work ect. but I bet if checked these guys have not held a job nor supported thier family but has used what money they do get on drugs and that is probably what they were going to use this money on if they got away with it. And lord knows what they would have done to that poor girl if she wasn't smart enough to hit panic button and the police thank God responded quickly. They should also have been charged with kidnapping or unlawful restraint! This is something this girl is going to have to live with the rest of her life! She will be in her own prison and I pray she gets help! These thugs do not need to be on the streets they need to put these thugs away for a very very long time!Hope no one posts their bail or they are no better then they are!

I hope these so called guys get jail time, and not probation they deserve to rot in jail not a slap on the wrist, rather being 1st offence or not. The person that was tied up must of been scared to death they should sentence them on her impact statement not on how many offence they have.
