WELLSBURG -- Banner Fiberboard Co. in Wellsburg is closing its doors, leaving 38 people without a job.

The company has been operating for 52 years.

Banner Fibreboard Co. emerged from bankruptcy on Dec. 8, 2006, and sources close to Banner said the company is filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Some workers have been at the plant for 30 years and are going to have to start all over.

Art Sherick, Banner president, did not want to go on camera.
