Trial was moved to Kanawha County earlier this month.

CHARLESTON -- A Kanawha Circuit Court judge has set a date for Michelle Michael's murder trial.

The trial is scheduled to start on July 5.

Earlier this month, Monongalia County Circuit Judge Robert Stone ordered that the trial be moved from Morgantown to Charleston, after Michael's attorney argued that she could not get a fair trial in Monongalia County because of intense media coverage.

Monongalia County Prosecutors claim Michael drugged her husband and then set fire to their Morgantown home with him inside.

Michael is charged with first-degree murder and arson.

The original criminal complaint said Michael worked as a nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown and would have had access to the drugs found in her husband's system.

Michael is currently on home confinement.
