Josh Fosbrink joined the Storm Tracker 12 Weather Team as the morning and noon meteorologist in December of 2005.
Prior to coming to WBOY, Josh was the morning and noon meteorologist for the ABC affiliate in Kearney, NE (NTV). Josh is originally from Southwestern Pennsylvania and grew up in a small town called Tarrs, which is just southeast of Pittsburgh. He attended California University of PA earning his Bachelors of Science in Earth Science/Broadcast Meteorology in 2001 and his Masters of Science in Multimedia Technology in 2003. While at California University, he aided in the development of a new broadcast meteorology studio and weather center, while also working at CUTV, the campus TV station.
After spending a little over two years in the central plains, Josh was ready to head back home and is proud to be a member of the WBOY News Team. Josh has taken an active role in the community and can be seen making various appearances while also continuing the tradition of SNOWBIRD at WBOY. He has always been fascinated with meteorology and looks forward to giving viewers a heads up on the forecast each morning on “12 News Today” and “12 News at 12.”
Josh married his college sweetheart in October 2006 and celebrated the birth of their first child in August 2007. They are thrilled to make north central West Virginia home with their two cats, Cyclone and Scarlet.
